Everything your family will need, gathered in one place.

Beacon Legacy is a private, encrypted vault for the practical and personal pieces of your life — your accounts, your wishes, the location of things, the stories only you know, the letters and videos for the people you love. So when the time comes, your family isn’t grieving and treasure-hunting at the same time.

Grief is hard enough. The paperwork shouldn’t be.

When someone dies, the people they love spend the worst weeks of their lives playing detective. Hunting for passwords. Calling banks with nothing but a name. Finding the safe but not the key. Wondering whether mom would’ve wanted to be cremated, and never being sure they got it right.

Almost no one writes any of this down. Not because they don’t care — because life is busy, the conversation is uncomfortable, and there’s no good place to put it. The result: families fight, things get lost, accounts stay open for years, wishes go unmet, and the stories behind your most meaningful possessions disappear with you.

Beacon Legacy gives you that good place.

How Beacon Legacy works.

  1. Build your vault, on your own time.

Add accounts, subscriptions, crypto, photos, important contacts, the location of documents and meaningful objects, the stories behind them, your wishes — even letters and videos. Add what matters, in any order, when you're ready.

  2. Choose people you trust.

Pick two or three trustees. They can't see anything while you're alive. When the time comes, two of them have to confirm before anything opens. Even Beacon Legacy can't read your data — only you and your trustees, together, can unlock it.

  3. Your family finds everything in one place.

Instead of weeks of searching, they open your Beacon and see exactly what you wanted them to know: where things are, what to cancel, who to call, what you wished for, what you wanted them to have. Plus the things you wrote and recorded just for them.

A preview of what your family sees when your Beacon opens

What your family sees, when the time comes.

What lives inside your Beacon.

An organized list of accounts, documents, and where to find them

The practical, gathered.

Your accounts, subscriptions, crypto wallets, insurance, financial records, important documents — and where to find anything that lives outside the cloud. The birth certificate in the second drawer. The safe deposit box and where the key is kept. The external hard drive in the closet. So nothing important is ever truly lost.

Sentimental objects with stories and the people they're meant for

The personal, preserved.

Your meaningful objects with the stories behind them — the watch, the locket, the bear from childhood — and who you'd want each to go to. Your wishes for the funeral, the social media accounts, the pet, the house. Your important contacts: who to call first, who to tell soon, who to leave alone. The everyday knowledge a family loses when someone is suddenly gone.

Letters and video messages saved for the people you love

Letters and videos for the people you love.

Written notes. Video messages with your real voice and mannerisms. Even time-locked messages sealed for a future date — your daughter's wedding, your son's eighteenth birthday, the day your grandchild is born. The product helps you record them with gentle prompts, so you're not staring at a blank screen wondering what to say.

Beacon's encrypted recovery phrase entry, end-to-end encrypted on device

Your most sensitive data is encrypted on your device. Even Beacon Legacy can’t read it.

Everything you store is encrypted on your own device before it ever reaches our servers. We hold it for you, but we can’t read it. Only you — and, when the time comes, the trustees you’ve chosen — can ever unlock what’s inside.

If any of these is you.

  • You hold crypto — and your family wouldn't know how to recover it

  • You're a parent, and you've thought about what would happen to your kids

  • You live alone, abroad, or far from your family

  • You've lost someone and want to spare your own family what you went through

On the horizon.

The vault is the foundation. Once it’s in your family’s hands, there’s still the practical work of settling everything — calling lawyers, closing accounts, organizing the funeral, coordinating with the bank. We’re working on a service for that, too.

Coming later: Beacon Concierge. A real human coordinator who walks alongside your family through the practical work — using your vault as the map. The lawyer, the closures, the cancellations, the funeral, the rehoming of pets, the moving of things. One person, one bill, no bureaucracy. We’re piloting this with a small group of families and will roll it out gradually. Waitlist members will hear first.
